I have been working at Quality Context for a year now as a Programme Manager within the Consultancy Team. Prior to joining Quality Context I studied for my PHD and following that, worked for large corporate organisations. Now a year has passed, I wanted to take the time to reflect upon my year working for a small-medium enterprise, the learnings I have acquired and my understanding of the culture and core values that Quality Context works hard to uphold.

Quality Context are a leading consultancy and pharmaceutical testing provider, who care deeply about patient safety by providing the pharmaceutical industry with cost-effective quality solutions. It was the caring nature of the company that really shone through, right from my very first interview. Quality Context place huge emphasis on customer service and ensuring that quality is at the heart of everything we do.

Since I joined Quality Context, I have been able to manage more than 90 different projects. These projects have varied across many specialisms and geographical locations, including: GxP audits, technical compliance projects and training courses. As part of my daily job I work very closely with our clients and technical experts in order to really understand the client’s business needs and their technical challenges. This is key for us at Quality Context in order for us to help our clients deliver consistently high quality medicines, medical devices and healthcare products to patients globally.

We all share the same values and strive to deliver high quality standards in everything we do and how we do it. The values we uphold, shape everything we do and enables us to build strong, long-lasting partnerships with our clients, suppliers and colleagues.

Our values are that we are: hardworking, passionate, caring, loyal and honest. We apply these values to everything that we do for our colleagues, our clients and the community.

All our values are strongly linked with our company vision about caring for patient safety and consistently providing high quality services. Kate, our Director sets a strong example to the whole organisation and conveys a sense of trust and comfort. For Kate, quality is about doing things right and doing the right thing. This is something I also truly value.

I came across the following quote by Dalai Lama: ‘’Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.” I believe this is true, no matter how busy we find ourselves at work, it is always possible to show kindness and always treat others in the way they’re meant to be treated. Make people smile – it really can make a difference and impact others in the workplace.
